About Mar Y Sol
In 2003, Lauren Brandstetter ventured to Madagascar as a part of a community outreach initiative. There, she met a dozen local artists who used traditional weaving techniques to create beautiful hats and bags – and felt inspired to make their crafts available to women around the world. By creating Mar Y Sol, she established an accessories brand that is recognized for its unique designs, exquisite craftsmanship, and attention to detail. Maintaining a commitment to sustainability, the brand uses only organically tanned leathers and responsibly sourced materials in an ever-evolving collection of bags and beachwear.
